Return of the Logic Bomb!

That’s right! The Logic Bomb v2 drops on you with a blast today! I beg of you, send me your feedback! Today’s episode deals primarily with explanation of the new format, and addresses some criticisms the earlier episodes got, as well as a look at various codes of ethics. Hope you enjoy it!

As per usual, the opening and closing theme is WalMart Employee by Adam Laing, with the added pleasure of Quinn Jones’ opening vocals, and the break music is Your Love also by Adam Laing.

Podcast? Not Quite Yet…

Hello all of you out there in podcast-listening land! This quick message goes out to all those podcast-listeners clamouring for more of the Logic Bomb Podcasts, brought to you by those fine folks at Jonsianlogic.com! I know this group is probably a minority, but you are some of my favourite people.

I had fully intended to unveil the partially-new, mostly-changed-but-still-kinda-the-same Logic Bomb Podcast 2.0, but have been fighting with microphone issues, theme song issues, and spent the majority of the day installing Ubuntu Studio on my second laptop to make it viable again. All this conspired to keep me podcast-less.

My eventual plan is to record on Thursday and have a new episode up every Friday, provided I start to get an audience for it again. Hopefully, with another week to tweak, I should be up and running next Friday

Don’t get too excited, it still boils down to me talking for a half an hour, attempting to sound smarter than anyone I know.

Podcast 2.0 Thoughts

So, I’ve been toying with various ideas to restart the Logic Bomb podcasts, with some changes made out of necessity to the format. I’m thinking of scaling back on the submission questions, and just pick a topic for each show. I think this will keep my output steady, since I don’t have to rely on user input to validate what I do.

However, I’m not sure if people are still interested in listening to me rant, and I have received at least one email that has problems with what I do. So, I’m working on fine tuning what I want to do, and either this week or the next, I should be ready to unveil. I mean, clearly, I just get off on listening to myself talk, but that being said, I hope that I am either educational, helpful, or at the very least, entertaining.

Any thoughts? Comments? Concerns?

…complaints?

A Logical Progression: Part 1

So, as I alluded to in my last post, I have been thinking about doing a webcomic for some time; actually, that's a half-truth. I've been thinking of doing quite a few things for some time now. I have my own podcast, but I've wanted my own radio show; my own series of comedy vlogs, featuring graphics and incediary commentary; a series of short animated features, perhaps showcasing my daughters comedic talents; more work with my band; three unfinished novels as well as two barely started short stories; and several more projects I'm not even sure I want to talk about yet.

Somewhere in there, I chose "webcomic" as the best target for me to focus on. Why? Because it's really the only way to exercise almost all of my interests simultaneously. I can script, I can draw, I can be funny, I can practice computer stuff, I can comment on the ludicrous and illogical world around me — I can do it all, and perhaps make some people laugh at the same time.

So, I wanted to update my blog accordingly, and keep a sort of progress report on here. You know, use a "web log" as an actual "LOG" for once. Stay tuned here, if you're interested at all. I plan on sharing each stage. At this point, I've looked over many webcomics, and even asked for help (including the talented Caroline of Draw Write Play), and have ventured into a really sweet local art store to update my supplies. I haven't seriously gone after my drawing for years — it was nice to pull out my old sketchbook and impress my 8-year-old.

Tomorrow, I plan to outline my obstacles, and come up with some logical solutions. But the process is part of the art, so I wanted to share it with any interested parties. Enjoy!
